an unbelievable price?

While picking out Material (http://g654.org) s for a kitchen rehab, I found new caledonia Granite (http://tanbrown.org) (full 3cm depth) priced by one company, at $39 per sq. ft. This is  $13 cheaper than any other supplier in the area. This is not a sale price, it's their regular price. My contractor says I should be concerned, that the Stone (http://g603.net) quality may be poor, cracked, etc. The company is a national chain and (http://maplered.com) guarantees their product. So, does this seem like a deal that's "too good to be true?" Ideas, anyone? Thanks.
